Workhorse reliability

Working principle of a camera and laser sorter on color, structure and shape detection

The product is spread by a air blower onto a high speed conveyor belt. The cameras are positioned above the center of the belt or at the end on a reference roller and scan the products when they pass. These cameras (each strategically located) detect discoloration on on inbetween the products. Each camera sends it´s data to a powerful computer where it is then processed. 

The machines can be equipped with monochromatic and/or full color cameras. Number of cameras depending on the resolution which needs to be seen. When defects are detected (intensity and size parameters may be adjusted by souch screen), air nozzles at the outfeed are activated at exactly the right moment based on signals from the shaft encoder and CPU. These nozzles blow the defect or unwanted product away just as it begins it´s ballistics. The air nozzles are fast and accurate.
